Mood Monitoring
We support the youth we work with by paying close attention to their social media posts, reels, and online interactions. This helps us stay culturally connected and engaged in ways that traditional mentoring programs often cannot.
We understand that a young person’s mood can shift quickly due to the constant stream of news, content, and influences coming directly to their phone. By staying virtually connected, we are often able to check in in real time—before a youth makes a rushed or harmful decision.
Many young people express emotions online that they may not share directly with mentors, parents, or teachers. Youth often seek connection from peers through posts, comments, or reactions, which gives us valuable insight into what they may be experiencing internally. Mood Monitoring allows us to recognize warning signs earlier, respond faster, and provide support when it matters most.
